First of all, let the record show that I am a huge Brent Faiyaz fan. I first started listening to his music back in 2017 thanks to some Apple music recommendation and I have been hooked ever since. He even liked one of my tweets during his Sonder era so when I say I'm not a new to this but true to this, I genuinely mean it. Here's the proof:

Since then, I've loved every project he's released, with one notable exception being "Wasteland." I truly made an effort to connect with it, but unfortunately, it didn't do it for me. This was especially disheartening since he had held a spot in my top 10 favorites for so long. It had me thinking that Brent had fell off but thankfully he hasn't and that shows with this new surprise release.

When I say I'm in love, I'm absolutely smitten! The production and overall vibe of this album is insane.

As a massive Neptunes/Pharrell fan, I nearly went into shock ( I promise I am not exaggerating) when I heard the sample of 'Caught Out There' by Kelis in "Best Time". That song has always been a fave of mine, and the way Brent used it in his track has now officially earned a spot in my top 10 favorite songs ever. Brent truly outdid himself with that one. ( I swear the best songs are always the shortest).

The album almost feels like a tribute to the pioneers of the music production game. Heavyweights like Timbaland, Babyface, and Missy Elliott can be found on this album, and for a music lover like myself, it's absolutely mind-blowing.

I also love how this album stands out in comparison to his older work. Brent has always had a signature sound (which I adore), but this new release seems to blend his signature style with the vibes of the late '90s and early 2000s, creating something truly remarkable.

My personal favorite from the project include "Last One Left," "Moment of Your Life","Forever Yours", "Best Time" (duh), "Outside All Night","Belong to You" and "WY@."

This album is undeniably going triple platinum in my car, and I can't wait to see what Brent has in store for us fans next.

Have you listened to this? What are your thoughts?

Until next time, xo. - Jaelyn <3
